ACKLEY VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE
SERVICE
Ackley Volunteer Ambulance Service is a
municipal ambulance service established in 1975 by the City of Ackley.
·
24/7 emergency
medical services to the residents of Ackley as well as coverage of
approximately 62 square miles including Butler, Franklin, Hardin and
Grundy counties with 2 stocked ambulances and staff.
·
Provide as-needed
back up and assistance to other area ambulance, first responder and fire
services.
·
Ackley Volunteer
Ambulance Service is a volunteer ambulance service with the exception of 1
full-time employee.
·
EMT’s provide
service from training with the requirements of the State of Iowa/Bureau of
EMS
·
Monthly on-site
meetings and trainings September through May and meet in July.
·
Ambulance crew
consists of EMT’s and trained drivers.
·
Available for
public service events such as stand-by for football games and the Prairie
Bridges Walk/Run.
·
Conduct annual fund
raising events.
·
Proud recipient of
a Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation Grant!
·
Participate in the
Hardin County EMS Council and county wide disaster drills and trainings.
·
Supports the use of
CODE RED!
·
Supports the
efforts of the Iowa Donor Network!
