Ackley Veteran's Memorial

Do You or Someone You Know Meet 1 of the Following 3 Qualifications?

• Have an Ackley Address or Have Lived at an Ackley Address at One Time

• Have Attended and Ackley, A-G, or AGWSR School

• Are an Ackley American Legion Post 252 Member or Have Been a Member at One Time

• National Guard Reserves that Were Activated for Federal Service After Basic Traing & AIT are Eligible.

Along with one of the three qualifications, you must have served, or are currently serving, in the military as active military personnel.

A committee has formed to construct a Veteran's Memorial Monument in Ackley, Iowa to honor those individuals who have served from the Ackley area.  The location of this Memorial will be west of the Ackley Fire Department on Main Street.

The estimate for the construction and landscaping of this project is $70,000.00.  This entire project will be funded through donations.  While donors may remain anonymous by request, levels of giving to be recognized upon completion at the dedication services are as follows:

General Level - $5000 or more
Colonel Level - $1000-$4999
Major Level - $200-$999
Captain Level - $100-$199
Lieutenant Level - $1-$99
