AGWSR School District

The mission of the AGWSR Community Schools is to provide EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION so that each student will discover LIFE-LONG LEARNING and become a self-respecting, contributing adult member of society.

The Ackley community has a long standing tradition in providing excellence in education.  Today the AGWSR district is made up of Ackley and the surrounding towns of Geneva, Wellsburg, and Steamboat Rock.  Children are prepared from an early age to be school ready.  The Cougar's Den provides a quality preschool program that is associated with and partially funded by the district.  Ackley is also home to the Elementary K-3 program, and the  9-12 high school.  The nearby town of Wellsburg houses the Intermediate Grades of 4-8.  Through a  supportive community, caring teachers, and excellent facilities Ackley will continue setting the standard in quality education at all levels.
