SPECIAL MEETING November 30, 2018

ACKLEY CITY COUNCIL met in special session November 30, 2018 in the Ackley City Hall Council Chambers with Mayor Erik Graham presiding. The meeting was called to order at 8:31 a.m. Council members present: Robert Harms, Joe Wessels, Judy Crawford, and Pat Daggs. Absent: Pat Hurt. Quorum present. Harms moved, Crawford seconded, to approve the November 30, 2018 Agenda as listed. Ayes- 4. Motion carried. Crawford moved, Wessels seconded, to adopt Resolution No. 18-63 Approving the Annual Urban Renewal Report for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2018. Roll call vote: Ayes-Wessels, Crawford, Daggs, Harms. Absent: Hurt. Motion carried. Crawford informed the Council that she has received concerns regarding repealing Ordinance 69.15 which restricts residential parking. Mayor Graham stated that the mini-splits for the police department should be here next week and will be installed soon. Wessels mentioned that there are new valves out that are self-regulating for each heat register. Wessels was directed to look into them and provide more information. Daggs notified the Council that the committee has decided that if there is a snow emergency on a Friday then garbage will be picked up on the following Monday. Daggs moved, Harms seconded, to adjourn at 8:40 a.m. Ayes-4. Motion carried.
