SPECIAL MEETING

September 19, 2019

ACKLEY CITY COUNCIL met in special session September 19, 2019 in the Ackley City Hall Council Chambers with Mayor Pro Tem Pat Hurt presiding. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. Council members present: Joe Wessels, Judy Crawford, Pat Daggs, Robert Harms, and Pat Hurt. Absent: None. Quorum present.

Daggs moved, Crawford seconded, to approve the September 19, 2019 Agenda as listed. Ayes-All. Motion carried.

Wessels moved, Crawford seconded, to adopt Resolution No. 19-33 Authorizing the Retroactive Payment of Calen Holman’s Salary Increase. Roll call vote: Ayes-Wessels, Crawford, Daggs, Harms, Hurt. Motion carried.

Mayor Erik Graham arrived at 3:03 p.m.

Daggs moved, Harms seconded, to set the date and time for Trick or Treat night to be October 29, 2019, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Ayes-All. Motion carried.

A tour of the City’s facilities was taken. Those facilities included city hall, police station, Victory Park, maintenance shed, Heritage Center, library, swimming pool, airport, waste water treatment plant, pocket wetland, ambulance shed, water treatment plant, City Park, and civic center.

Wessels and Daggs left at 6:00 p.m.

The tour continued with the fire station and industrial park.

With no further discussion, Harms moved, Hurt seconded, to adjourn at 6:30 p.m. Ayes-3. Motion carried.
