SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

ACKLEY COUNCIL CHAMBERS

February 22, 2021

ACKLEY CITY COUNCIL met in special session February 22, 2021 in the Ackley Council Chambers with Mayor Pat Daggs presiding. The meeting was called to order at 5:03 p.m. Council members present: Mike Abbas, Judy Crawford, Chuy Flores, Pat Hurt, and Joe Wessels. Flores attendance by electronic device due to COVID-19 precautions. Quorum present.

Wessels moved, Abbas seconded, to approve the February 22, 2021 Agenda as listed. Ayes-5. Motion carried.

Hurt moved, Crawford seconded to open the public hearing at 5:04 pm for the Proposed Property Tax Levy for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022. Ayes-5. Motion carried.

No comments, concerns, or objections were given or stated.

Wessels moved, Crawford seconded to close the public hearing at 5:04 pm. Ayes-5. Motion carried.

Hurt moved, Abbas seconded to approve Resolution 21-07 Approving the FY22 Maximum Property Tax Dollars. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Crawford, Flores, Hurt, Wessels, Abbas. Motion carried.

Crawford moved, seconded by Hurt to approve the FY22 proposed budget. Ayes-5. Motion carried.

Wessels moved, Crawford seconded to set the date for the Public Hearing for the FY22 Proposed Budget for March 15, 2021 at 4:30 pm in the Ackley Council Chambers. Ayes-5. Motion carried.

Crawford moved, Wessels seconded to approve Resolution 21-08 Establishing Fees and Rules and Regulations on the Use of City Facilities. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Flores, Hurt, Wessels, Abbas, Crawford. Motion carried.

Wessels moved, Abbas seconded to adjourn at 5:08 p.m. Ayes-5. Motion carried.
