SPECIAL MEETING

February 3, 2022

ACKLEY CITY COUNCIL met in special session February 3, 2022 in the Ackley Council Chambers with Mayor Michael Nuss presiding. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Council members present: Dan Scallon, Chuy Flores, Joe Wessels, Mike Abbas. Absent: Judy Crawford. Quorum present.

Scallon moved, Flores seconded to approve the February 3, 2022 Agenda as listed. Ayes-4. Absent-1. Motion carried.

Fiscal year 2023 budget was discussed with expenditures being cut in all departments for the general fund. Clerk Dennis informed the council future budgets are going to be difficult to balance as our revenues will continue to decrease each year with the commercial/industrial backfill being faded out.

Abbas moved, Flores seconded to adjourn at 7:58 p.m. Ayes-4. Absent-1. Motion carried.
